Sunday Team in Prem 25/7/08

I just want to keep you all updated on developments since the weekend; the Sunday League Secretary contacted me on saturday to invite us into the premier Division of the Leeds Sunday League due to teams not accepting the opportunity. I told him that I would put it to the lads and they all came back and said lets give it a go, so I contacted Ron Waite and confirmed that East End Park Sunday would like to accept the invite for us to play in the Premier Division for season 08/09 !!!!

I think this as comes at a time when we probably have our strongest squad for many years and hopefully the rise to the prem will attract a few more quailty players which will see us compete in the prem division and I think we can give a good account of ourselves next season !

The lads will be told that the effort has to be raised to make sure we're not embarrassed though I'm sure they know this already.

Sunday Team Pre-season Friendlies 8/8/08

The Sunday team have arranged 3 pre-season friendlies so far with another one to be confirmed. The details are on the Fixtures Calendar page

New Kit Sponsors for 08-09 Season

The Sunday team have secured a new kit sponsor for the 2008-09 season when they will be sponsored by Sheridan Roofing. The Sunday team's new kit will be claret and light blue.

Nicholls Powder Coatings have agreed to sponsor a new kit for the Reserve team for next season, they are part of Nicholls Fabrications who sponsor the First team's home kit. Many thanks to Noel McGuire who set up the sponsorship deal.

Pre-Season Training

Pre-season has now begun for both the Saturday and Sunday teams and is being held on Shaftesbury Fields, York Road. Training will be every Tuesday and Thursday (Saturday team) and every Thursday (Sunday team) up until at least the start of the season. Park Life is the newsletter of East End Park WMC FC. The newsletter was started during the 2007-08 season in order to promote the football club and to keep the members of East End Park WMC up to date of the club's progress. The plan is to produce 10 editions a year during the football season.
